How To Set Battery Alerts

By using the analysis features of IMPRES Battery Fleet Management, you may find a battery that should have some manual operation performed on it, the next time that it is inserted into an IMPRES charger. For example, if a battery appears on the Service Life report and you wish to take the battery physically out of service, then you can set the Alert field to "On" in the Battery Information Dialog. This will cause the alert icon to appear next to the battery Serial Number in the System Device Monitor when the battery is inserted into a charger pocket.

You can provide instructions to individuals that are physically near the charger and battery by entering them into the Comments field of the Battery Information Dialog.

This feature is intended for organizations that have one or more charger closets that are not physically located near the fleet administrator.

How to Set a Battery Alert ON

From the Results Panel right click on a battery in the report and select the Battery Information menu item to open the Battery Information Dialog.
Or, From the System Device Monitor click on the battery node to open the Battery Information Dialog.
Select On from within the Alert combobox.
Enter instructions that you wish to communicate to others in the Comments textbox.
Click on the Apply Changes button.

The alert icon will be displayed next to the battery serial number in the System Device Monitor when the battery is inserted into an IMPRES device.

How to Set a Battery Alert OFF

From the Results Panel right click on a battery in the report and select the Battery Information menu item to open the Battery Information Dialog.
Or, From the System Device Monitor click on the battery node to open the Battery Information Dialog.
Select Off from within the Alert combobox.
Click on the Apply Changes button.

The alert icon will not be displayed next to the battery serial number in the System Device Monitor when the battery is inserted into an IMPRES device.
